AgileNorth 2010

AgileNorth's aim has always been to provide a forum to explore agile software development approaches by networking to share and gain knowledge.

The 5th AgileNorth Conference is being held on Friday 14th May 2010 at Adelphi Conference Room, UCLan, Preston, Lancashire.

Our speakers this year have a story to tell. We hope to include real experiences from those who have lived through an agile event whatever the level of experience.

Today's Spotlight On...

Photo of Kevin Murray Sam Wessel

Sam was converted to agile development 2 years ago, and only looks back to laugh at his former self. He develops applications and services for the web, and hopes one day to stop writing what his future self refers to as legacy code.

Software design? You learnt UML (if anything) at university, but you don't really use it at work and although you test-drive and refactor your code, it still ends up feeling like a Big Ball of Mud (TM).

CRC provides a fast way of designing code by identifying objects and their responsibilities through group discussion and role-play.

The session will be a real CRC design session, where you will learn to put yourself inside your objects and collaborate with each other.
